Couple’s Search For Maintenance-Free Luxury Ends At Deer Park Estates
Stunning New Community By Red Seal Homes Had Perfect Combination Of Features For Couple Looking For Luxury Townhome In Northwest Suburbs
Deer Park, IL - (May 23, 2006) - It was a search that lasted about three years, but when Mary Ann and Rich Falcone visited Deer Park Estates, a new single and multi-family community in exclusive Deer Park being developed by Red Seal Homes, the couple knew their journey to find a luxury townhome had come to an end. The couple will be among the first residents to move into this community next year and are looking forward to the convenient location, spacious and open floor plan and pleasant view they will have from their home.
Deer Park Estates is located at the corner of Long Grove and Quentin Roads, just west of Route 12. The community includes 61 luxury two-story townhomes and 11 spacious single-family homes in a quiet setting accented by extensive landscaping and winding streets. Pre-construction prices start in the upper $400s for the townhomes, with single-family prices beginning in the upper $500s. The first deliveries are scheduled for next year.
“Rich and I were wanting to find a maintenance-free home to replace our single-family home in Palatine. We looked on and off for three years until I saw an ad for Deer Park Estates this spring. We visited the community later that day and really loved everything about the neighborhood, from the great location that is close to shopping and dining, to the look and feel of the neighborhood itself. Red Seal was also offering the floor plan features we had been wanting to find, so it was an easy decision for us to purchase at Deer Park Estates,” said Mary Ann.
Shoppers like the Falcones who want the convenience of a maintenance-free lifestyle where outdoor lawn care and snow removal is taken care of, have expressed great interest in the townhomes at Deer Park Estates. Designed with stunning elevations that include bays and turrets plus covered entryways and dramatic rooflines, there are nine different townhome floor plans to choose from. The homes are sized from 1,891 to 2,781 square feet and include three bedrooms; 2-1/2 baths; wooden decks; full basements and two-car attached garages.
Two of the townhome plans include a first floor master suite. Other models feature multi-sided turrets with dens and master bedroom sitting areas; lofts; two-story entry foyers and fully equipped center island or peninsula kitchens. English and walkout basements are also available on select sites.
Red Seal also offers a limited number of single-family homes at Deer Park Estates, in two floor plans sized at 2,201 and 3,116 square feet. One plan has a first floor master suite. The homes have three or four bedrooms; 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 baths; luxury master suites; full basements and two-car attached garages. Walkout and lookout basement options are available, per site selection. Wooden 12’ x 10’ decks are standard.
Distinctive architectural details of both the townhomes and single-family homes at Deer Park Estates include rooflines with curved eaves and textured architectural shingles; arched openings; carriage door style garage doors; decorative metal-framed balconies and rusticated stone chimneys.
Mary Ann and her husband wanted a maintenance-free home in part because they spend their winters in Florida and wanted the convenience to come and go as they please without having to worry about outdoor landscape upkeep. They also wanted to find a townhome designed as an end unit with a large, open great room. The DP-10 floor plan at Deer Park Estates met their requirements.
The DP-10 is a comfortable 2,781 square foot townhome with three bedrooms; a large loft; the spacious great room the couple wanted; a den; basement and two-car garage. The DP-10 features a multi-sided turret, which houses the den on the first floor and creates a marvelous sitting room on the second floor as part of the master suite.
Additional features of the DP-10 are a quiet side entrance with two-story foyer and angled stairway plus a convenient first floor laundry center. The large kitchen showcases a corner pantry, center island and peninsula style countertop that overlooks the breakfast area and great room, along with state-of-the art appliances and granite countertops.
On the second floor, this model highlights an elevated loft at the top of the stairs, which offers all sorts of possibilities, along with two generously sized secondary bedrooms. The luxury master suite highlights his and hers walk-in closets and a private bath with dual vanities, soaking tub and walk-in shower. The separate turret-style sitting room is flooded with natural light from the multiple windows.
“The room sizes in the DP-10 are wonderful and the closet space in the master bedroom really impressed me,” Mary Ann said.
The Falcones’ townhome will have a view of the natural wetlands that are part of the Deer Park Estates neighborhood, something that the couple is looking forward to. The community covers 14-acres and also features a 10’ wide bike path connecting to the larger Deer Park bike path system. A large pond and adjacent wetland provides tranquil views from many of the homes.
“Rich and I are looking forward to using the bike path. We will certainly enjoy this amenity at Deer Park Estates,” said Mary Ann. “We also appreciate our proximity to the surrounding area, with such a great array of restaurants and shopping so close by.”
Deer Park Estates is minutes away from the shopping, dining and entertainment choices at the new Deer Park Town Center. While the site will have a tot lot, it is also across the street from Michael D’Angelo Park and adjacent to a new Deer Park park site. The community is also served by quality schools that are part of the Lake Zurich School District 95, including Quentin Elementary, Lake Zurich Middle School and Lake Zurich High School.
The couple is planning on using their spare bedrooms as guest quarters for their grandchildren when they stay over on the weekends. Rich is excited about creating a home office in the turreted den space. Since the townhomes are so well equipped to begin with, about the only options the Falcones selected are hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor and elegant wooden stair rails with metal balusters.
A sampling of the luxury included features at Deer Park Estates are a choice of hardwood or 12” x 12” ceramic tile flooring for the foyers; kitchens; breakfast rooms and powder rooms. All bath and utility floors also include 12” x 12” ceramic tile.
The floor plans are outfitted with painted solid-core six-panel doors with premium satin nickel lever hardware; decorator light fixtures; berber or plush wall-to-wall carpeting and a Majestic fireplace with ceramic surround and hearth in the great room or living room, per plan.
Each kitchen includes granite countertops with 4” high self-edge backsplash in an array of decorator colors. 42” Merillat cabinets, large pantries and Kohler plumbing fixtures including a stainless steel undermount sink with designer pullout faucet are featured. The deluxe stainless steel appliance package includes a GE refrigerator with cold-water dispenser; 30” self-cleaning range; microwave oven with vented hood; multi-cycle dishwasher and ½ horsepower garbage disposal.
The master baths include a 5’ soaking tub and separate shower (per plan); ceramic tile shower walls; double bowl white Corian vanity tops with Kohler cast iron undermount sinks and furniture quality vanities; ceramic tile floors and Kohler fixtures. The hall baths and powder room are similarly equipped.
“We have friends who are in real estate and they spoke very highly of Red Seal, their reputation and quality of their homes. We felt comfortable purchasing off of floor plans and we are confident our home will be everything we hope it will be,” Mary Ann said. “Red Seal has been a pleasure to deal with.”
Both Mary Ann and Rich are very excited about their new Deer Park Estates townhome. The convenience of their location, the quality and size of their home along with its luxury features will all mean a relaxed and carefree lifestyle. “We know we will enjoy living here, as we just love the views of the wetlands and we really adore our floor plan with its large great room,” said Mary Ann.
